Pursuant to NAC 645.443 (1)(c), “the course must be designed so that the time required for a student of average ability to complete the course is within the number of hours for which the course is approved, and the sponsor of the course shall utilize a system which ensures that students have actually performed all tasks designed to ensure participation and mastery of the subject matter of the course by the students.” Participants are highly encouraged to carefully review and fully comprehend all course materials before attempting the final examination.
MAXIMUM ASYNCHRONOUS DAILY COURSES
In accordance with Nevada Real Estate Division policies, licensees (students) can take a MAXIMUM of four (4) asynchronous (self-paced internet) continuing education courses within a single calendar day based on Pacific Standard Time from any NRED approved continuing education provider.
REQUIRED COURSE HOURS BY COURSE TYPE
ASYNCHRONOUS COURSES (SELF-PACED)
Licensees are allowed to complete a maximum, equal to half of their total continuing education required hours of asynchronous (self-paced internet) continuing education during their current renewal period.
SYNCHRONOUS COURSES (LIVE/CLASSROOM/STREAMING)
Licensees must complete a minimum, equal to half of their total continuing education required hours of synchronous (Live/Classroom/Streaming) continuing education during their current renewal period.
COURSE DELIVERY METHODS
Courses are offered through various delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles. Asynchronous learning provides the ultimate flexibility, allowing students to access course materials 24/7 and progress at their own pace throughout the year. On the other hand, synchronous (live online) learning involves scheduled sessions where students must attend at specific times, either virtually, in person, or through a hybrid format. For those seeking a blend of both, Flexible Learning combines live online instruction with self-paced study, empowering students to choose between attending live sessions, working independently, or mixing the two to suit their needs.
COURSE PROGRESS, ATTENDANCE, EXAM, AND COMPLETION POLICIES
Course progress, attendance, and completion requirements vary by state and must be adhered to in accordance with applicable regulations. Compliance with these requirements is mandatory to successfully complete the course and obtain approval for licensure or renewal.
Synchronous (Classroom/Live Streamed) Education Courses
To maintain a professional and productive learning environment, all students attending classroom or live-streamed courses must adhere to the following guidelines:
Review Provider Guidelines
Before enrolling in any course, students must thoroughly review, understand, and agree to the terms, conditions, policies, and guidelines set forth by ceASAP.com.
Camera Usage
Students must keep their cameras on throughout the entire class session, unless explicitly permitted otherwise by the instructor. Cameras may only be turned off during designated breaks or with prior approval in exceptional circumstances, as determined by the instructor.
Technology Readiness
Students are responsible for ensuring that their devices, internet connection, and any required software are functioning properly before the class begins. Technical issues should be addressed ahead of time to avoid interruptions.
Active Participation
Students must fully engage in all live-streamed sessions. This includes responding to instructor inquiries, actively participating in discussions, and adhering to the same professional standards expected in an in-person classroom setting.
Student Conduct
Students are expected to maintain proper classroom etiquette during the session, as if they were a live in-person setting. This includes;
- Dress appropriately, presenting yourself professionally as if attending an in-person class. This reflects respect for the instructor and other participants, and sets the tone for an effective learning environment. Avoid distracting activities, such as using other devices, checking emails, or multitasking during the session, as these can impact your focus and engagement.
- Ensure you are in a quiet, well-lit, and non-distracting environment to help minimize disruptions for both yourself and others. Silence notifications and let those around you know you’re attending a professional class to avoid interruptions.
- Remain stationary during the class. Participating while driving or transitioning between locations is prohibited, as it diminishes the quality of your learning experience and may be unsafe or unprofessional.
- Maintain respectful communication during the session. All students must demonstrate respect for the instructor and fellow participants by listening attentively, using polite language, and avoiding interruptions.
- Be on time and stay until the session ends to respect the instructor’s effort and the time of your fellow attendees.
- Follow any additional guidelines shared by ceASAP.com and the instructor, such as participation expectations or submission of assignments, as these ensure smooth and professional course delivery.
- No student shall be treated unfairly or disrespected during a live classroom session based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws. All students are expected to show respect and foster an inclusive environment for everyone.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal from the course or other disciplinary actions as outlined by the education provider. By enrolling in a live-streamed course, students agree to uphold these standards to create a positive and effective learning environment for all.
